Community Admin Messages

Admins are emails you send out to your whole community, either in response to a problem that's arisen or maybe because you have some good news, ie: to announce a membership milestone or to announce your plans to be doing a stall at the local green fair etc.

From January 2025, Admins can be sent out in two different formats- Essential or Newsletter. This distinction was brought in because a lot of members objected to receiving non-essential information - https://discourse.ilovefreegle.org/t/admins-and-newsletters/8178 explains.

Here are a selection of standard Admins for your perusal. Feel free to use them as they are or adapt them to your needs.

'Issues'

These can be sent in response to Freegle issues that commonly arise.

Auto Admins

There is a bank of automatic Admins that will appear in your Admin setting on Modtools occasionally, which are suggestions for an Admin to be sent out to members to encourage more freegling. These are centrally generated and give you the opportunity to edit, post them out or not. They are categorised as newsletters (not essential)> The current messages can be found on a googledoc https://docs.google.com/document/d/1e5zyMNwiaAtdxHP7fFkuPy4bLu-VAGmfgJOBClmqHD8/edit?usp=drivesdk
