Firefox

Firefox is a web browser - an alternative to Edge, Safari and other browsers.

It's free to download and use, and offers loads of features. You can get it here: https://www.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/new/

We like it because it's provided by Mozilla, a non-profit organisation that develops Firefox through collaboration with volunteers around the world. One of Firefox's key features is that it lets clever people write add-ons and plug-ins for the basic browser. Our own, very clever Ed Hibbert once wrote a plugin that ran in Firefox and made managing Yahoo Groups much easier and friendlier. That plugin is no longer available, but Freegle now offers ModTools, a website that runs on Firefox, Chrome and other browsers, and as a mobile app.
