Message on Central, 8.3.21: discourse thread
Following on from our work with councils (which isn't over), we've been looking at whether we can do more work with housing associations. Through contacts made by Natalie, we had discussions with https://rubixx.co.uk/, who supply software to housing associations to manage their tenancies.
They developed some integration allowing their customers (the housing associations) to send out a link to Freegle when a tenancy starts or ends. The link uses the resident's postcode, which the housing association already knows, so the postcode is pre-filled on the Freegle site, directing the resident to their nearest Freegle group.
The hope is that this kind of approach reaches people who would really benefit from Freegle, but who might not have heard of us, at the right time.
