This is normally done on what is usually referred to as your café group. They are not about keeping stuff out of landfill, they are to help build the community aspect of your group.
These sort of posts aren't about keeping stuff out of landfill, but they do help build the community aspect of your group so can be encouraged off the main listing.
 
There is the facility for your members to post an event notification on Freegle Direct.  You might also run a Cafe group where they can be advertised.


Ideally the posted messages on Freegle groups should just consist of 'offered' 'wanted' 'taken' and 'received' with the occasional 'admin' from the moderator team. You might however want to make an exception for local free environmental events such as the ‘give and take’ days that some local councils organise, and allow those on your main group.
If your group uses Freegle Direct, however, there is the facility for your members to post an event notification.
