Some moderators have concerns about batteries being freegled. There's no legal reason to reject them, but care is needed over disposal.

Lithium and other batteries

These are commonly reused by hobbyists, as shown in plenty of videos and articles. Two examples that explain safe reuse of laptop batteries:

If you're worried about allowing batteries of any kind, you can ask the person requesting them why they want them, and add a moderator's note to offers explaining that care is needed if batteries are dismantled.
