After amending a message

Hi there

We have edited your post because you originally included personal contact details such as a telephone number or full address. Offers and Wanted messages are sent via email to most of the other $nummembers members of this community, and may be stored on their personal computers for a considerable time.

So for your own personal safety and privacy, we advise you not to include these personal details in your messages on the main Freegle offer/wanted board.

Moreover, if you happen to be offering something desirable and you include your phone number, you are likely to be inundated with calls.

After deleting a message

All contact with others is by email or chat through our system, which safeguards you. Of course you are free to give out personal information once contact has been established with an individual, but please be aware that you do so at your own risk.
