The facility of posting direct events is available to all members who have joined a community via Freegle's website or app (as opposed to other interfaces such as TrashNothing).

On the website, Events can be found via the Events tab in the top menu, or to the left of the main body of message on the Chitchat page.

Moderators receive a notification so that they can verify the post before allowing it.

If you want it removed before the expiry date then please mail support@ilovefreegle.org.
Alterations should be resubmitted and the original deleted.

For an example Admin notice to let all your members know about the Events facility, see Sample Admin: Events.

The default setting for members is to receive these email notifications (Community Event Roundup), but they can chose to switch that delivery off in their Settings. The notifications are sent out weekly on Thursdays, and repeated until the event has expired.
