Resellers

Selling goods obtained via Freegle isn't against Freegle's rules, as long as the member planning to resell discloses their intention before collection. Some moderators feel strongly about this and have a "no resellers" rule on their community.

Many members feel strongly that they want to pass their unwanted things on to someone who will benefit from them directly. On the other hand, it's worth remembering that even if a profit is made, the item is still being kept out of landfill - which is, after all, the most important thing - and many members don't mind what happens to their things, they just want to get rid of them.

If you're considering a "no reselling" rule, bear in mind that it's very difficult to police - it might be better to allow it, so that at least there's a chance of knowing who the resellers are.
