There are a variety of ways that people can donate to Freegle nationally, either by direct payment or by using services that donate to a chosen charity. (see Donations for Freegle for details).
The website also has a facility to donate - https://www.ilovefreegle.org/donate - and members are asked to help on Freegle Direct group pages when they have completed a successful transaction.
Occasionally, there are competitions that Freegle nationally have entered, examples:

Freegle UK won the March 2013 Direct Debit Big Break competition. The winners were decided by popularity via online voting. The gross amount was £2,000, net £1,928.
