Sample message you can use if your member posts a message offering or requesting animals:

Hi there

I am sorry, but I can't approve your post as we have a policy of not allowing offers or requests for live animals.

This is in response to many complaints over the years from people concerned about animal welfare, so we decided it would be best to stop them altogether.

Please try local animal rescue homes, rehoming services or other avenues. I hope you find a safe new home for your [xxxxxx] soon.
