Often, when promoting Freegle, if is really useful to have some solid statistics to back up your claims of success!
The number of communities overall is stated on the Explore website page - https://www.ilovefreegle.org/explore and further stats available on https://www.ilovefreegle.org/stats

You can also look at a graph showing the number of group monthly posts [[http://direct.ilovefreegle.org/modtools/graphgroup.php]]  To use the graph simply visit the link and enter the final word of an existing Freegle group landing page, e.g. to see a graph for Edinburgh Freegle, enter the word' edinburghfreegle' into the input field and submit it.
More recently, long term membership information is available by asking geeks@ilovefreegle.org, although you can see how many members your community has on your home page, your approved members list, or click down on Modtools dashboard to see other statistics about the way your community is performing.

If you like statistics and are interested in helping compile and/or analyse information like this, do please offer!  Just email the Reps at Reps@ilovefreegle.org .
