Sex toys

In a 2025 Discourse discussion, most participants said they wouldn't allow offers of sex toys on their communities.

Reasons given included:

• The site should be family-friendly - not showing items other members wouldn't want children to see.
• It's much too personal an item.
• Risk of it being unsanitary.
• Risk that the member might be "fishing" for who knows what.
• The offer might not be serious, posted as a joke, or while drunk (especially if using an image taken from a website).

At least one such offer had been posted in the past and wasn't reposted, but the local volunteer didn't know whether the item was taken or whether the member quickly withdrew the offer after comments from other members.
