If you have a Google account, Google keeps a history of the searches you've made. It says this "helps deliver more personalised search results based on the things you've searched for on Google and the sites you've visited."
To manage your own history, go to your Google history page. From there you can select specific searches to delete, or click 'Remove all History'.
