Swapping

Dear Freegle Member,

I'm sorry, I can't approve your message on Freegle today. I know that 'swapping' an item often seems like a good, environmentally friendly idea, but Freegle is just for giving things away free to keep them out of landfill, not for swaps, lends or borrows. You could of course place a simple wanted/request post for the item you need.

If you'd like to reword your post as a straight offer, you're welcome to repost it.

I'm sorry, I've had to remove the reference to swapping in your message on Freegle today and left it as an outright Wanted request.

I know that 'swapping' an item often seems like a good, environmentally friendly idea, but the community rules state there should be no strings attached to any item offered, which includes swapping. Freegle is for offering outright ownership only.
