After an unmoderated post has got through to the community and drawn complaints from members.
This is a sample admin message you could send to your community.
ADMIN: INAPPROPRIATE MESSAGES
Hello,
Every now and then, an unmoderated member posts something against the membership guidelines of $groupname. It's usually an honest mistake - the member just didn't realise it broke the rules.
When an unmoderated member posts something, it goes out immediately to everyone who receives individual emails. At that point, all the moderators can do is delete the message from the community and put the poster back on moderation to prevent future slips.
We don't moderate everyone by default, because these problems are genuinely rare, and there's no reason to slow down everyone's posts to catch the occasional one that shouldn't have gone through.
So if you see a message that's outside the community's purpose (pet ads from breeders, items for sale, job ads, personals, or anything illegal or adult), please check whether it's already been removed. If it has, the moderators have it in hand. If it's still there, forward it to the moderators at $owneremail.
One more thing: please don't comment on inappropriate messages on the main board, or we may have to put you on moderation too.
Thank you!
