This is an admin message you could use to remind people about the harm of burning treated household items.

Wood-burning stoves

Open fires and wood-burning stoves have grown more popular in recent years.

Smoke from burning causes air pollution, which harms the health of everyone, including local wildlife. Treated wood, such as old furniture, laminate flooring and some household waste, can release harmful fumes and toxic pollutants, including arsenic, into your home and up the chimney when burnt.

Please don't request treated wood - furniture, decking, fencing and so on - on Freegle if you're simply going to burn it. Not only does this deny someone else the full use of the item, it can also seriously affect anyone breathing in the toxic fumes that drift their way.
