1.1 Introduction
Freegle provides an online platform to enable free giving and receiving of items via local communities, primarily run by volunteers.
The majority of those working in Freegle communities and nationally are volunteers. Volunteers come together to form a mutually supportive network. As a grassroots organisation, all volunteers are encouraged to take part in discussion and decisions.
To participate fully in national decisions and to support the organisation, Membership of Freegle Ltd is an option for all volunteers. Membership gives voting rights and entitlement to be elected as a Director on the Board.
The Board comprises persons appointed to perform the duties of directors of the Society, primarily by Member election.
