New Member Approval
There was a discussion on whether the Group Affiliation Team should continue to set up new groups with the default setting of approval of new members. The majority view was that it is better for groups to allow open membership although it was pointed out that all groups are autonomous and this is a decision for individual groups.
Area Guidelines
There are currently two polls being conducted on Start. One is to ascertain whether the population criteria previously agreed by the working group should be amended. The other is to decide whether new group names must be agreed with the Group Affiliation Team. The polls will end on 8 November 2011.
