A Pet Mod is someone who deals with posts on a group relating to live animals.

Any post relating to live animals is put on HOLD (this can be a mod edit in the subject line of a message in pending) and left for the Pet Mod to deal with.

# No wanted posts for any exotic animal that needs special knowledge or care to keep it healthy, unless the poster has extensive experience with that species. If in doubt, reject the post and ask the member to say more about their experience, then reconsider based on their answer.
# No wanted posts for illegal animals, even if the law seems unreasonable.
# Watch for possible "pet collectors" - people who take on more animals than they can properly care for. It's the moderators' job to contact them when rejecting a post. One sign is someone repeatedly posting wanted ads for animals, especially phrases like "I'll take any animal".
# Watch for someone apparently trying to "unload" a large number of pets at once. Again, the Pet Mod should contact them to find out the situation, and use good judgement in deciding whether to allow the offers.
# It's strongly recommended to visit the adopter's home before agreeing to the adoption.

Especially the ones who say things like "I'll be happy to take any animal".
