FreeStock is a bunch of volunteers getting together in a field for a bit of a blather. So far it's happened seven times, in the summers of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The 2015 was held 17th-19th July at the venue in Hertford used in 2014.
====2022 - Freestock 12====
Held in Hertford, 12th-14th August. A safari tent was booked so people could stay in it if they wished and it could serve as a hub for the gathering. This didn't quite work to plan, as there was a heatwave and chairs and food ended up being moved around to follow the shade instead. A new dog visited, with Freegle's Reading and ChitChat moderator.

====2020 and 2021====
Cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.


It's not officially organised for Freegle alone - people from all similar networks are welcome.

Back to Hertfordshire in July, where we benefited from a glamping tent booked by one of the party. Two new dogs visited, in the company of Freegle's Havering moderator.

Held in August at Clitheroe, in an attempt to increase attendance from the north of the British Isles. This was only partially successful, though it was a pleasure to meet three people (and one dog) who hadn't been before. It's a lovely little town, and we enjoyed ourselves despite the traditional Lancashire weather.

Held in Hertford on the weekend of 12th and 13th August.


FreeStock 2016 is being held from 4.30pm on Friday the 15th of July until Monday the 18th, although if you’d just like to pop along for a few hours to chat you will be most welcome.

It is an informal social get-together for volunteers from all reuse groups (Freegle, Freecycle & others), and their families and friends.  If you know mods who are not on Central, or those from other recycling networks, please do invite them along.

Camping
====2014====
Freestock 2014 was held from Friday 18th July, from 4.30pm, until 10am on Tuesday 21st July. The location was the Hertford Campsite.


The site is beautiful, with excellent facilities including disabled access. 
====2013====
It has some "Glamping tents" that are set up for you.  I will book a communal one if enough people are interested, or you can book your own on the “Ready Camp” link from the website above.
  Costs for camping start from £8.70 per adult, per night.  Full price details, including extras and concessions are here 
Freestock 2013 was held on 9th-12th August 2013, at Beechwood Park, Elvaston, Derby, DE72 3EQ.


Day visitors will be warmly welcomed and there is no cost for them.

Campers, please book direct and say that you are with the  group booked by Dee Moss so that they can put us all in the same area.

Travelling
====2010====
Freestock was held at Baggeridge Country Park, near Birmingham, from Friday 9th to Sunday 11th July 2010. It was mainly a Freegle event, but other moderator friends were also invited and attended.


Hertford is easy to get to as it has two railway stations (Hertford North is 35 mins from London Kings Cross, Hertford East is for Liverpool Street trains)
====2009 - Freestock 1====
It is also near to major routes, so from the south take the M25 and then the A1M or the A10 North for 10 mins to the junctions for Hertford.  If approaching from the North get to the A1M and turn off at Hatfield along the A414 to Hertford.
The inaugural Freestock was held at Baggeridge Country Park, Gospel End, Sedley, Dudley, West Midlands, DY3 4HB.


At the time it was planned as a Freecycle event, but in the gap between planning and the event, difficulties became apparent in the UK with Freecycle (see [[Potted History]]). Deron was invited but didn't attend, despite having his expenses offered to be paid.
