We often get requests and offers for both Sky and Virgin boxes.
Sky boxes and dishes
Older boxes are purchased and belong to the user, so they're entitled to give them away to whoever they wish, as long as they do so in good faith. Whoever receives them is entitled to use them, but only for legal activities.
The new Sky Q boxes are different - they always remain Sky's property, so should not be offered or requested. See Sky's page on this.
Sky viewing cards also remain Sky's property and shouldn't be passed on - see this document.
