Central Groups

Discourse hosts our Central discussion groups, which all owners, moderators and volunteers of groups affiliated to Freegle are welcome and encouraged to join. Central Discussion and Groups Membership Policy explains the membership criteria for all these national Freegle groups.

All Central Groups are looked after by the Discourse Support Team.

Freegle Central

This is your main group for help and information from fellow Freegle moderators. It's a strong recommendation that you and your co-moderators belong to Freegle Central. If you want to raise a general comment or ask a question about how Freegle works, just post a message on the group.

Freegle Cafe

An off-topic group for all Freegle volunteers to chat, post jokes and generally socialise.

Tech and ModTools Group

The group where tech questions about Freegle Direct, the apps and ModTools can be raised and discussed.

Participating

New members of Freegle Central and other national groups are encouraged to:

• Introduce yourself to the group and share any relevant experience - everyone is welcome regardless of experience.
• Familiarise yourself with the various groups.
• Engage in the discussions, contributing your thoughts to the collaborative process.

Participating in the Central and Working Groups can be a first step toward getting more involved with the Freegle organisation nationally.
