Admin resellers
Most communities will allow your participation. However if you plan to sell anything which is being given to you from another member, you are required to state this either on your post or on requesting the item(s).
Please do not request items for which the offerer has stated they are 'not for resale', and if you take it for your own use then please either give it away or put it back on Freegle when you have finished with it.
Please play fair.
Thank you.

Admin resale of items
Dear $Menbers
Re-selling of items is not against our guidelines -as long as the members gifting the items agree!
It is all right to use $groupname received items in fundraising support of a recognised local charity at a car boot or garage sale, in a 2nd hand shop or even on Ebay as long as the gifter is aware of this.
However if you operate a commercial business and intend selling goods obtained from $groupname, then on joining you MUST advise the Moderator of your planned activity.
Anyone reselling items obtained on $groupname MUST advise the donor of this intent in their response to an OFFER or in their initial WANTED posting.
If you obtained something from $groupname and through a change of circumstances no longer require it we suggest you:
a) Offer it to our community in general, b) Offer it to a local Charity, c) Ask the original giver's permission to sell it on.
Not only is this good manners, but the original giver may prefer it be re-offered to the community or donated to a local charity. If you cannot recall the original giver's details, contact you local volunteers and they may be able to help you out.
Freegle members are intrinsically friendly and trusting; please do not abuse their trust. Any reported incidents of reselling will be checked and may lead to suspension or a ban within Freegle.
Thank you,
ADMIN: Freegle, selling, and keeping things out of the tip
Freegle has been created to keep unwanted things out of landfill. That's its main aim. And we are really grateful for all your activity, your WANTS and your OFFERS, because all of these are cutting down what is going in the bin or in the tip.
A few members have raised queries about selling on items. As the mods team, we have talked about this a lot. We can't really enforce rules about this, as it's too hard to see what happens once things have been passed on. We just want to ask you to do something for us.
If you are looking for things to sell on, whether its for charity, or as part of a business - if for example you refurbish bikes or computers and sell them on, or if you want things for a car boot sale or a charity shop – that's fine. It still keeps things out of landfill. We just ask you, out of courtesy and the spirit of Freegle, to say that's what the things are for. This will give people the choice
If you are giving something away, and you specifically don't want it to be sold on, please do feel free to say so. Just remember that Freegle isn't about need - it's not a charitable organisation - and people who sell on are still keeping things out of the bin, but we understand if you would prefer this not to happen.
Obviously, this doesn't apply to people selling on or giving away things that they have used and no longer need, just things that have been asked for with the sole intention of selling on.
We hope this makes things clearer, and we thank you again for your support.
ADMIN: SELLING ON
If you are looking for things to sell on, whether its for charity, or as part of a business – if for example you refurbish bikes or computers and sell them on, or if you want things for a car boot sale or a charity shop - that's fine. It still keeps things out of landfill. We just ask you, out of courtesy and the spirit of Freegle, to say that's what the things are for. This will give people the choice.
If you are giving something away, and you specifically don't want it to be sold on, please do feel free to say so. Just remember that Freegle isn't about need – it's not a charitable organisation – and people who sell on are still keeping things out of the bin, but we understand if you would prefer this not to happen.
