How you deal with this is up to you.

• They don’t keep anything out of landfill.
• They could promote good community spirit.
• If they are ‘money off’ vouchers, they encourage consumerism and are not actually free.

Train tickets

A discussion on Central in August 2023 concluded that it is illegal to offer rail/train tickets to others.

Oyster cards

However, discussions on Central in September 2023 and September 2025 concluded that it is legal to offer unused Oyster cards to others, and reasonable for Freegle to accept posts of Oyster cards, as they are not a ticket, but a card carrying credit for a ticket.
