This is a sample message you could use to send out if one of your members inadvertently sends a message to their whole address book about a virus.

ADMIN: Virus Warnings:.

We have all received them:- dire warnings of a virus or bug that will wipe our computer clean and strip out our bank accounts. Before sending this onto all your friends, though, it is is best to check if the warning is actually important or just a spoof. Two good sites can help you with this - www.hoax-slayer.com/ and www.snopes.com .

Another helpful site is wwwwhybcc.com , which explains why it is not a good idea to divulge all your address book contact information to everyone.

If anyone has any good tips like these we could share, please let the moderating team know. The more we can help each other keep safe on the internet the better!

xxxxx
