*Go to ModTools>settings>group settings>group appearance>profile picture

For a photo for your community, try Geograph http://www.geograph.org.uk who have plenty to choose from. They have creative commons copyright and recently they have started stamping the creative commons acknowledgement on, much easier than doing it yourself. Each photo has the level of creative commons copyright on it.
You can obtain a Freegle heart logo, customised with the name of your community,  by asking graphics@ilovefreegle.org
