FreeStock is a bunch of volunteers getting together in a field for a bit of a blather. So far it's happened seven times, in the summers of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. 
This year 2016 it is being held on 15th-18th July

It is local to Train stations, and not too far from London.

You can book for a night or longer, or just visit those they do stay for a day.
It is suitable for wheelchairs.
If you want to somewhere nearer you next year then please check out your local campsites and see if they are suitable with Wi fi disabled facilities and public transport links.


====2022 - Freestock 12====
Held in Hertford 12th-14th August.  A Safari Tent was booked so people could stay in it if they wished and it could serve as a hub for the gathering.  This didn't quite work to plan as there was a heatwave and chairs/food were moved around following shaded areas instead.  A new dog visited with Freegle's Reading and Chitchat moderator.


''''''FreeStock 2016''' is being held from 4.30pm on Friday the 15th of July until Monday the 18th, although if you’d just like to pop along for a few hours to chat you will be most welcome. 
====2020 and 2021====
It is an informal social get-together for volunteers from all reuse groups (Freegle, Freecycle & others), and their families and friends.  If you know mods who are not on Central, or those from other recycling networks, please do invite them along. 


This year’s Freestock is at the Hertford Campsite 
Cancelled due to Corona Virus.
There are also B&B’s and hotels nearby in and around Hertford. You can get accommodation information from Hertford Tourist Information or Trip Advisor.



Camping
====2019====


The site is beautiful, with excellent facilities including disabled access. 
Back to Hertfordshire in July where we benefited from a glamping tent booked by one of the party. Two new dogs visited in the company of Freegle's Havering moderator.
It has some "Glamping tents" that are set up for you.  I will book a communal one if enough people are interested, or you can book your own on the “Ready Camp” link from the website above.
  Costs for camping start from £8.70 per adult, per night.  Full price details, including extras and concessions are here 


Day visitors will be warmly welcomed and there is no cost for them.
====2018====
Held in August at Clitheroe in an attempt to increase attendance from the north of the British Isles. This was only partially successful though it was a pleasure to meet three people (and one dog) who had not been before.
It’s a lovely little town, and we enjoyed ourselves despite the traditional Lancashire weather.


Campers, please book direct and say that you are with the  group booked by Dee Moss so that they can put us all in the same area.

Travelling

Hertford is easy to get to as it has two railway stations (Hertford North is 35 mins from London Kings Cross, Hertford East is for Liverpool Street trains)
Freestock 2016 was held on 15th-18th July and the venue once again was Hertford  
It is also near to major routes, so from the south take the M25 and then the A1M or the A10 North for 10 mins to the junctions for Hertford.  If approaching from the North get to the A1M and turn off at Hatfield along the A414 to Hertford.

Held at Beechwood Park, Elvaston, Derby on 8th - 10th July 2011.

Freestock was held at Baggeridge Country Park nr Birmingham, Friday 9th to Sunday 11th July 2010. It was a mainly Freegle event, but other moderator friends were also invited and attended.
====2009 - Freestock 1====
The inaugural Freestock was held at Baggeridge Country Park, Gospel End, Sedley, Dudley, West Midands, DY3 4HB.
At that time, it was planned as a Freecycle event but, in the time between the planning and the event, difficulties were becoming very apparent in the UK with Freecycle.  Deron was invited but didn't attend, despite having his expenses offered to be paid.
