The ability to post volunteering opportunities,, similar to community events, has been added on ModTools. This is on https://dev.modtools.org and https://dev.ilovefreegle.org . These are not yet emailed out to members, this will be done later (with a per-member setting as per community events). It would be useful if people could experiment with these a bit. The icon for these is a flower. That's a little bit random, but the only other one which seemed suitable was a heart, which is too close to our logo. You can have a look at the available icons at http://glyphicons.com/ , in case someone spots one which would work better. A couple of bugs with this were found and fixed. An issue with non members being unable to post We may be able to overcome this if necessary , and one about whether paid volunteers should be allowed to be requested.

I have a Moderator who is constantly being asked to verify her email address when she uses her phone. It is a Galaxy s8 she is using. Any ideas please ? If the mobile has a default email address set up which is different to the one she uses on Modtools it could happen. Also if she has just been on the same website using a different device this happens to me when I log in with a Yahoo ID. she make sure it’s updated which may fix the problem or uninstall and reinstall. Also is she logging out after each session?

Servers

This is an automated list of the changes to the client code in the last 7 days. If you have any questions about them, please reply to this mail. Here are the more important ones which would affect members:

• Not showing who replied in messages on My Posts
• Add council comms toolkit
• Click to mark all notifications as read scrolls randomly around the newsfeed
• Improve formatting of multiple photos when posting
• Rework message display some more
• Add a page to show the shortlinks including stats on clicks, and allow you to create your own
• Improve photo layout on story in newsfeed
• Make photo sizes more consistent, especially on mobile, and improve the message display a bit.
• Add more protection against accidentally creating systemwide volunteer opportunities
• Signing up to the site flashes an error message briefly
• Don't open chat popup windows on the Chat page itself by default

...and here are the ones which are minor, or only affect volunteers in ModTools, or are internal changes that you wouldn't notice:

• In Support Tools, allow modification of CGA/DPA to allow GAT to set them
• In MT, show CGA/DPA in group settings, as readonly
• Clarify that introducing yourself shouldn't include what you're giving/seeking
• Reapply "Not showing all info on My Groups after recent fix" More edit fixes
• Revert "Not showing all info on My Groups after recent fix"
• MT subject edit for platform messages not working correctly(
• Not showing all info on My Groups after recent fix
• Change Chat to Chats on menu bar
• On MT, don't show link to full profile as it won't work
• Add link to About to councils.
• Change Media Team into email addresses for people who haven't got mail clients configured correctly.
• On mobile, show the higher resolution photo for a message rather than the thumbnail, because it is full width and looks blurry otherwise.

• On MT, change photo zoom code to reuse same code as FD, with the handy advantage that this works better
