We have decided we need to concentrate first on how we (the Reps) should operate, make decisions, communicate and prioritise, but have kicked off a few things that can run in parallel, like the Legal Working Group.

Thanks for electing us, we'll do our best to do justice to Freegle!

We've formed a group and decided that we would prefer to be called Freegle Reps rather than the FCRB unless anyone has any objections. It seems friendlier, and less formal, we thought.

The snow and the festive season have meant that not everyone has been available all the time, but we have had some great discussions on moving Freegle forward. These are some of the topics:

1. What would get new members? 2. Liaison with Overcycle to make sure all Freegle Groups are shown correctly. 3. Contact with WRAP http://www.wrap.org.uk/, following on from the initial contact made by Neil. 4. How are the working groups working? Are there overlaps or gaps? Is the structure right? 5. Do we need additional working groups or specific task forces to look at subjects like Legal issues, Design, Contact with Councils, Targetting Schools, obtaining Grants etc? 6. Forward planning and setting targets.

We have compiled a list of tasks, which you can view here:

We have decided we need to concentrate first on how we (the Reps) should operate, make decisions, communicate and prioritise, but have kicked off a few things that can run in parallel, like the Legal Working Group.

Please tell us if you want anything added to the list, or have any questions, concerns etc. - you can raise them on Central, or contact us on:

Although we are a representative body that can help move things forward more quickly, we are all very keen that the grass roots participation and ideas, that have propelled Freegle forward to where we are today, should continue, or hopefully grow even stronger.

So please keep your ideas coming - and get your sleeves rolled up and carry on getting involved in making things happen.

We'll do our best to keep everyone co-ordinated and working together smoothly, and will post an update to Central at least once a month; more frequently when there's a lot going on.

Cat, Carol, Edward, Jane, Kath, Mark, Ollie, Paul & Sian.
