Introduction

The second AGM of Freegle Ltd will be held Monday xxx to xxx inclusive on Freegle UK Central. As detailed in our Rules under Retirement Cycle,3 of the current Directors are obliged to stand down and any co-opted Director's term of office ends. There will be vacancies for 6 Directors.

Term of Office

The term of office for elected Directors is 3 years, but Directors are welcome yo stand again immediately when that term finishes.

Election Timetable

The Freegle 2016 Election timetable will be as follows:

18th October Formal notification of AGM (required by Rules) to Members (to personal emails and on Central) - 14 days 29th September Director voting process starts - request for nominations - 9 days 8th October Last day for nominations. Ask for Statements. - 5 days 13th October Last day for receiving Statements from Candidates - 1 day 14th October Q&A Starts - 7 days 31st October Q&A Ends - 1 day

1st November AGM STARTS Only Members on Membership Register on this date can vote - same day

1st November 24 hour poll to determine quorum starts - 1 day

2nd November Director Voting Starts. - 7 days`

9th November Voting Ends - Same day

9th November AGM Ends - Same day - 5 days approx

14th November Results Expected BNote the following regarding this election timetable.

Start of Day refers to 12:00 AM on that day, (i.e. 00:00 on that day). End of Day refers to 12:00 AM on the next day (i.e. 24:00 on that day). Voting validation will likely take less than 3 days. Results will be posted as soon as possible. Candidate Nominations[edit]

Nominations for Freegle Director will begin immediately. However, the counting of the weeks required will begin on Monday, 18 May 2015 so that we have a full two weeks for nominations.

Nominations should be made as follows:

Nominated candidates must be members of Freegle Ltd (see Rules 53 and 54). Nominations may be made via Freegle Central or directly to the Returning Officer email address. Nominations may either be made by the candidate (self nominated) or another Freegle Volunteer. Nominations should include the individual's full name and email address. In the event of the nominee being a volunteer with a Freegle group, their primary group should be provided. In the event of another individual being nominated, any relevant group membership should be noted (i.e. a member of the National Cooperative's Council). Nominations should be seconded. This can occur on either Freegle Central or directly to the Returning Officer email address. All nominations will be confirmed by the Returning Officer to the candidate, seconder and to Freegle Central (regardless of where the nomination was sent). Polling Paper[edit]

Freegle Directors 2015 Election

Introduction

February 2014 we elected nine individuals to serve as Directors of this newly forming IPS. We thank those individuals, the Freegle Reps and all other Freegle Volunteers who worked so hard to set up Freegle Ltd. Now that the IPS is fully formed, Freegle Ltd recently held its first Annual General Meeting (AGM).

As detailed in our Rules under Retirement Cycle, all the current Directors are obliged to stand down at the first AGM. As such, we are electing our new Directors. As we only have seven candidates for Director to fill the nine spots, this election is to confirm those that have been nominated as Director.

Voter Eligibility

Those that have registered as members of Freegle Ltd are eligible to vote in this election.

Candidate Details

As a part of this, candidates have prepared Candidate Statements. These will tell you a bit more about the candidates and what they feel they have to offer as a Freegle IPS Director. Additionally, several weeks were provided for a candidate Question & Answer period to take place on Freegle Central. During that time, voters were invited to ask questions to candidates. All candidates were invited to respond to each question. A total of 6 questions were asked with 35 candidate answers being returned.
