The Board may appoint people to carry out specific work, under a paid contract for services. Contracts are/have been:
- Freegle Platform Developer - covers ongoing development of the platform
- Freegle Platform Maintenance - covers major fixes and general maintenance. Details of contract awards announcements are included on Freegle Platform Developer
- Freegle Social Media Management
- Freegle Media - Stories
- Freegle Volunteer Support
- Freegle App Developer
- National Media Director - from April 2018 known as Director of Media Services for Freegle UK
- Council Services - two positions to encourage local Council engagement and support, contracted April 2018 and January 2021
