I'm sorry, Freegle groups are only for gifting items, so we cannot accept your post for an event. You are welcome to use our Community Events feature on Freegle Direct to advertise your event.

Dear Freegle Member
I am sorry but I have had to edit your post today to remove the details of your charity event . We do not allow members to advertise charity events on the boards. You are welcome to say that you are requesting the items for a charity event and to name the charity you are collecting for, but please do not post the details of where the venue will be or the time and date. We have a lot of members who post on behalf of charities who have not been allowed to advertise their event on the main Freegle site so it would be unfair to allow you to advertise the time and date of the event within your request for items.
You could use our events feature on our own site Freegle Direct to let members know all about your event. You can find the site here. $groupurl
Just log in and select the 'events' tab and then 'add a community event'. Your post will go out to the group members.
