====Area Guidelines====<br />

A poll was held between 21-28 July 2011 on the area guidelines to be used by the Group Affiliation Team when assessing applications for standard area based Freegle groups. A majority were in favour of adopting these guidelines. The guidelines allow for GAT to supply extra information on specific cases in certain circumstances.<br />
<br />
Discussion has taken place in previous months on issues surrounding area size and group names. GAT were having difficulty in making a decision on a specific case. With the permission of the applicant GAT gave extra information to Start on this case. In the light of the views expressed and suggestions made in the discussion GAT are still considering the application.<br />
