Sky and Virgin boxes

We often get requests and offers for both Sky and Virgin boxes.

Each are treated differently. This is because:-

Sky boxes and dishes are purchased and belong to the users. As such they are entitled to give them away to whomever they wish as long as they give them in good faith.

Those receiving them are entitled to use them but only for legal activities.

Virgin Virgin Media "boxes" come in two forms. The ones that are used exclusively for Cable TV decoding are ALWAYS the property of Virgin Media (and thus subject to the terms on their website). Their wireless routers are given away with their broadband subscriptions and become the property of the customer at the end of any initial contract period. So it is illegal to pass the lent boxes on to another person and requests and offers should not be allowed. However the wireless routers can be given away in the same way as Sky boxes above.
