A sample message you could use to send to a member of your group.
Instructions to a member on how to unsubscribe from your Yahoo group(part of the FAQs):
You have two options:
(1) Email YOURGROUPNAME-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
(2) Go here:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/YOURGROUPNAME/join
Click on the 'leave group' button (bottom right of the page).
If you are leaving because there are too many messages, you can change your settings via that page too. For help with how to do that click here.
"Daily Digest" gives you circa 25 group messages in one email or "Special Notices" which means you browse messages on the web, but still receive infrequent important emails from the group moderators.
If you are leaving because you are moving, check:

Thanks for getting in touch. All Yahoo groups operate the same way. If you wish to unsubscribe altogether from this group, go to the group home page, scroll down to the bottom and you will see an 'unsubscribe' email address. Email that address from the one you are registered with and Yahoo will automatically unsubscribe you. Yahoo does take a short time to process your request though, so don't expect it to happen immediately.
If you would rather remain as a member but receive only a daily digest of messages or even just occasional special notices from the moderating team, go to the group home page and click on 'edit membership' on the top, next to your name/ID just above the coloured bar with the group name.
You will then be offered several steps - number 2 is about the way you wish to view messages on the group. Click on your preferred alternative to 'individual emails', save your choice and Yahoo will change your preferences. You will still be able to view and respond to or send group messages online in the future if you wish.
