Joining Letter

This is a sample letter you could use for new applicants to your group.

Hi there,

Thank you for your application to join xxxx Freegle.

In order to process your application to xxxx Freegle could you please reply to this email with the following information.

1 : The first half of your postcode. 2 : Your approximate age. 3 : The name of the council that collects your refuse. 4 : Any other Freegle groups you may already be a member of

If you are applying on behalf of a Charity then as well as completing the questions above please provide us with contact details that will enable us to verify the charity.

Rest assured that we do not keep any of this information. It is used purely so that we can keep the group to a general local area and a safe age range. It also allows us to spot and remove any spammers or harvesters before they access the group.

As soon as we hear back from you we will process your application, but don't worry if you don't hear anything for a couple of days as we are all volounteers and sometimes family life overtakes us.

It has been known for e-mails with a pending members details to disappear and we then do not get to see them. We should also make you aware that it is Yahoo policy to clear out the pending members list after 14 days. We can't do anything about this so please get that reply in quick!!!
