Sample Admin message you can use for your group, to encourage local organisations to use Freegle and get verified in the moderator controlled database.

ADMIN - LOCAL CHARITIES, SCHOOLS & ORGANISATIONS USING FREEGLE

We are delighted to report that XXX Freegle is becoming more widely used by local organisations as well as by individuals.

If you would like your local school, scout troop, enterprise, charity or non-profit organisation (etc) to be officially verified as an active member of XXX Freegle please reply to this email with details.

The advantage of this is that if an organisation requests an item, other members who might like to respond can be sure that the person requesting is acting on behalf of the organisation they claim to be from. This protects both members and the organisations from fraudulent requests in their name.

If you are not sure of the validity of a request, please check the database section at www.freegle.in/XXX or contact the organisation directly yourself to be sure.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you wish to be included on the verified list (only moderators can add to the verified list).
